Extrusion is the crucial final stage of mechanical plastic recycling where cleaned, dried plastic is melted, filtered, homogenized, and pushed through a die to form consistent strands that are cooled and cut into standardized recycled plastic pellets for manufacturing new products.

Sorting

Sorting is the critical phase in plastic recycling that uses manual checks and automated technologies (like NIR spectroscopy and float/sink tanks) to separate different incompatible plastic polymers and contaminants, ensuring a pure, single-polymer material stream necessary for high-quality reprocessing.
